Bed Frames Sydney

The bed frame sets the tone for the whole bedroom, so start here. Ours run from solid timber and messmate platform beds to velvet and fabric upholstered frames, gas lift and drawer storage beds, four posters, bunks and day beds with a trundle, in single, king single, double, queen and king.

Which size fits the room? A queen mattress is 153 x 203 cm and a king is 183 x 203 cm, and the frame adds 10 to 20 cm each way. Most Sydney apartment bedrooms take a queen with room to walk down both sides; a king wants a room at least 3.4 m wide. In a small room a storage bed with drawers or a gas lift base does the job of a tallboy. The sizes on each product page are the maker's overall sizes.

Timber or upholstered? A solid timber bed is the one you keep through every move and can be refinished; an upholstered bed in fabric or velvet is softer to lean against and warmer in a plain room, and the bedhead is the piece to look at first.

Care. Tighten the bolts after the first month and once a year after that, vacuum an upholstered bedhead, and wipe timber with a dry cloth. Match the mattress to the base: our mattresses page has every feel from soft to firm.

Lie on them at our Yagoona showroom, or order online and we deliver Australia-wide, with assembly available. Seen the same bed cheaper? We'll beat the price.
